The Power of Music in Storytelling: Mark Petrie Dragon Storm

It’s late at night, now early morning when I post this music video. I stumbled on it after watching Taylor Davis’ in Awakening. It is storytelling in musical form backed by incredibly good art. I’ve only heard now maybe 15 minutes of the 4 hour presentation, but I’ll likely fall asleep into the dream world listening to it because I can’t for the life of me turn it off. Dramatic, inspiring, uplifting, just WOW!

I used this unbelievable charcoal of Satan being cast out of Heaven by God, conceptually conceived and drawn by illustrator Kathleen Pearson-Brock of livingtones.com to illustrate a tremendously powerful music video: Dragon Storm, Mark Petrie

It’s a 4-hour mega mix of powerful score that will leave you on the edge of your bed, or chair or make you late for that early morning meeting.

Part of the power in this fine YouTube presentation is the amazing story-telling art of Dragon Storm and the way they handle it in the video. Then the story illustrations after about 10 minutes render to the cover, but the music has you by your heart.

Another of Kathleen's fine art pieces, used earlier in another post to illustrate the human tragedy in the Philipines caused by last year's cyclone.

Now here’s Mark Petrie’s incredible music mix:

I don’t know about you, but this kind of music not only thrills me, but it takes me into other worlds, into places I can hardly describe: awestruck beauty, multi-dimensional depth and with dramatic, powerfully momentous rhythms that stir my soul to the core and cause solar flares to explode in my imagination: Dragon Storm!
