KTEC: Exemplifies Cleanliness to Future Workforce
KTEC Charter School: Producing Idaho’s Workforce
Mark Gardner, KTEC’s marvelous Custodial Maintenance Manager, exemplifies cleanliness in his devotion to keeping the alternative high school in a state of show all the time.
SandpointPR editor, Dwayne Parsons, recently toured the facility with a delegation from the Port of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He came away with a high regard for what he saw.
“I was highly impressed with the quality of this well-kept facility and made the comment to Mark about how such quality maintenance was actually teaching this high school students the value of a clean working environment. This kind of environment affects their motivation incredibly. When they enter the workforce, they’re going to want a clean office or a spic-and-span shop–you can bet on that!” ~Dwayne Parsons
Motivating Idaho’s Future Workforce
The feeling of orderliness is a subliminal escape from the chaotic stress many of today’s young people experience in their home environments. A learning environment like that at KTEC provides an incentive toward cleanliness and order because it is, in many cases, strikingly different and more peaceful, more creative than where they live, Parsons explained.
